NCT ID NCT07410221
First seen Feb 17, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study looked at whether teaching people about how pain works (called Pain Neuroscience Education) can boost the effects of standard physical therapy for myofascial pain syndrome—a condition causing muscle knots and pain. Forty adults with long-term pain took part. Half got usual therapy plus pain education once a week for six weeks; the other half got only usual therapy. Researchers measured pain, mood, and movement to see if the extra education made a difference.
