Can rethinking pain ease hand numbness?
NCT ID NCT07302282
Summary
This study is testing if teaching patients about how pain works in the brain and nervous system can help relieve symptoms of mild to moderate carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS). Researchers will enroll 48 adults with CTS to see if this special pain education, when added to standard home exercises and a wrist splint, provides extra benefits like reducing pain and numbness. They will use questionnaires, ultrasounds, and other tests to measure changes in symptoms and hand function.
