Summary
This study aimed to find the best dose of a pain medicine (hydromorphone) given through a spinal injection to children having back surgery for scoliosis. Researchers wanted to balance good pain control with fewer side effects. The study was stopped early, but it included 31 children and measured pain levels over the first 18 hours after surgery.
