New study tests simple injection to ease pain after hip surgery

Summary
This study tests whether injecting numbing medicine around the surgical cut (called PLIA) can reduce pain and the need for painkillers after hip dysplasia surgery in people aged 13 to 50. About 120 participants will be split into three groups: no PLIA, PLIA after the incision is closed, or PLIA given throughout the surgery. Researchers will track pain scores and pain medication use to find the best approach.
