First seen Nov 06, 2025 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study compares three methods of pain control for people having surgery to fix a broken ankle. It tests a long-acting numbing medicine, a regional nerve block, and standard pain care. The goal is to see which approach reduces the need for strong opioid painkillers after surgery. About 70 adults with specific types of ankle fractures will take part.
