First seen Jan 14, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tests if a specific nerve block (intertransverse process block) can reduce pain and the need for strong painkillers after lung surgery. About 66 adults having planned lung removal will be randomly assigned to get either the nerve block or a placebo injection. The main goal is to see how much morphine they need in the first 24 hours after surgery.
