New nerve blocks aim to cut opioid painkillers after bariatric surgery
NCT ID NCT07311525
Summary
This study aims to find the best way to manage pain after laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy, a common weight loss surgery. Researchers will compare two different ultrasound-guided nerve-block techniques to see which one is more effective at reducing pain and the need for opioid painkillers like morphine in the first 24 hours after surgery. The goal is to improve recovery and reduce side effects for patients.
