New study tests better pain relief for major liver surgery

Summary
This study aims to find which of two nerve-blocking techniques provides better pain relief after open liver cancer surgery. Researchers will compare a retrolaminar block with a subcostal TAP block in 90 patients. The goal is to reduce pain and lower the need for opioid pain medications during the first day after surgery.
