Summary

This study compared two different nerve-blocking techniques to manage pain after laparoscopic abdominal surgery in children. Fifty children aged 2-7 years were randomly assigned to receive one of two types of local anesthetic blocks after being put to sleep for surgery. Researchers measured which technique provided longer-lasting pain relief and required less additional pain medication after the operation.
