Summary
This study compared two different nerve-block techniques used during surgery to see which one better reduces pain and the need for pain medication afterward in young children. Researchers worked with 66 children aged 3 to 7 who were having planned lower abdominal surgery. They measured the children's pain levels and how much pain relief medication was needed in the first 24 hours after the operation.
