New study tests which nerve block cuts hip surgery pain best

NCT ID NCT06604806

Summary

This study compared two different nerve-blocking techniques to see which one provides better pain relief after hip fracture surgery. Fifty-two adult patients having surgery were randomly assigned to receive one of the two pain-block injections after their operation. Researchers measured patients' pain levels and their need for opioid painkillers over 24 hours to determine which method was more effective.
