Nerve block tested to ease agony after Open-Heart surgery

NCT ID NCT06413290

Summary

This study tested whether a specific ultrasound-guided pain-relief injection, given during heart surgery, could improve recovery. Researchers gave the injection to 40 adult patients and used a Doppler ultrasound to see how it affected blood flow in the chest area. They also checked if it helped reduce pain and the need for strong opioid painkillers after the operation.
