Surgeon vs. anesthesiologist: who gives the better pain block?

NCT ID NCT07454304

Summary

This study compared two ways to give a pain-blocking injection to patients having a specific type of minimally invasive back surgery. One method used an ultrasound machine guided by an anesthesiologist. The other was done 'by feel' by the surgeon during the operation. The goal was to see which method provided better pain relief in the hours after surgery.
