Numbing shot could ease Post-Surgery pain for weight loss patients

NCT ID NCT07431905

Summary

This study tested whether a specific nerve block, given before weight loss surgery, could improve pain control afterward. Researchers compared 60 patients having sleeve gastrectomy: half received the nerve block and half did not. They measured pain levels, need for strong painkillers, and the body's stress response to see if the block helped.
