Targeted nerve block aims to cut Post-Surgery painkiller use

NCT ID NCT06002217

Summary

This study is testing whether a targeted nerve block, given during surgery, can help reduce pain and the need for strong pain medications afterward. It involves 80 adults having planned lower back surgery through the abdomen. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the real nerve block or a placebo, and researchers will track their pain levels and medication use for three days after the operation.
