First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 11, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study is testing if a specific numbing injection in the neck can better control pain after spinal fusion surgery. Researchers will compare the real injection to a placebo (sham) injection in 38 patients. The main goal is to see if the injection reduces the worst pain in the first day after surgery and lowers the need for opioid painkillers.
