Numbing shot could ease agony after kidney tumor removal

NCT ID NCT06928324

Summary

This study tested if a specific nerve block could help control pain after robotic surgery to remove part of a kidney. Researchers compared pain levels and painkiller use in 46 patients who either received the numbing injection or did not. The goal was to see if this common anesthesia technique could lead to less pain, fewer pain medications, and a faster, more comfortable recovery.
