First seen Dec 16, 2025 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study compares two types of nerve blocks to manage pain after chest surgery (thoracotomy). The goal is to see if a newer block works as well as the standard one in reducing pain and the need for opioids. About 80 adults having chest surgery will take part. The results could help improve recovery and reduce side effects from pain medicine.
