First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looked at 86 children, ages 1 to 7, having surgery for hypospadias (a birth condition affecting the penis). Researchers compared two types of pain blocks given during surgery: a sacral erector spinae plane block and a caudal epidural block. Pain was measured using a special scale at several times after surgery to see which block worked better.
