First seen Mar 15, 2026 · Last updated Apr 24, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tested two types of ultrasound-guided nerve blocks—PENG and QLB—to see which provides better pain relief for people with hip fractures while they are being positioned for spinal anesthesia. 42 adults took part, and researchers measured pain levels, ease of positioning, and how much extra pain medicine was needed. The goal is to make the procedure more comfortable and improve patient experience.
