First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study tests which of two ultrasound-guided nerve blocks works better for pain after laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy. 70 adults having this weight-loss surgery will receive either an external oblique intercostal plane block or a subcostal transversus abdominis plane block. The goal is to see which block reduces the need for morphine and provides longer pain relief.
