New nerve block tested to reduce pain after common Women's surgery

NCT ID NCT06853782

Summary

This study compared two methods of pain relief for women recovering from abdominal hysterectomy surgery. Researchers tested a standard nerve block (TAP block) against a newer method (TFP block) to see which better reduced pain and the need for opioid painkillers after surgery. The study involved 77 women and measured their pain levels, medication use, and recovery factors like hospital stay length.
