First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study looks at whether the fear of pain can change how people walk. Healthy volunteers aged 18-35 will have a cream applied that is described as either potentially painful or harmless. Their walking patterns, heart rate, and skin responses will be measured to see if just expecting pain causes physical changes.
