Could a simple pain test personalize anesthesia for IVF?
NCT ID NCT07262216
Summary
This study aims to understand if a woman's measured pain sensitivity before a procedure can predict how much anesthesia she will need during IVF egg retrieval. Researchers will enroll 30 women undergoing IVF, measure their pain threshold with a pressure device, and then track their anesthesia use during the egg collection. The goal is to gather knowledge that might help tailor anesthesia doses more precisely in the future to improve patient comfort and safety.
