Genetic clues sought: why do some escape a deadly lung disease?

NCT ID NCT05584722

Summary

This study aims to understand why some people with a genetic risk for a severe lung and heart disease called Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH) develop the condition while others stay healthy. Researchers will follow 150 people, including patients, healthy people with the risky gene, and healthy controls, over four years with regular tests. The goal is to find biological markers that predict who gets sick, identify new targets for treatments, and improve how doctors monitor at-risk individuals.
