Scientists shine light on mysterious leg pain

NCT ID NCT07313410

Summary

This study aims to better understand how blood flows and oxygen is used in the legs of people with peripheral artery disease (PAD). Researchers will use special light sensors and MRI scans to measure leg muscle oxygen and blood flow during rest and exercise. The goal is to learn why people with PAD have different symptoms and to see if these measurements can predict how well someone might respond to future treatments.
