First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated Apr 25, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tests a new treatment for people with chronic sinusitis that keeps coming back. A small balloon coated with a drug called paclitaxel is placed in the nose to open blocked sinuses and deliver medicine directly. The goal is to see if it is safe and can reduce symptoms, possibly delaying or avoiding the need for more surgery. About 45 adults with moderate to severe nasal congestion and loss of smell or runny nose will take part.
