NCT ID NCT07280962
Summary
This study tested if leaving a drained perianal abscess cavity unpacked is as effective as the traditional, painful method of packing it with gauze. Researchers compared pain levels, hospital stay length, and recurrence rates in 44 adult patients. The goal was to find a less painful recovery method that doesn't compromise healing.
