Do pacemaker wires damage your heart valve? new study seeks answers
NCT ID NCT07342036
Summary
This study aims to understand if the wires from a pacemaker or defibrillator can cause or worsen a leak in the heart's tricuspid valve. Researchers will follow 200 patients getting their first device, checking their heart with ultrasounds before and after the procedure. The goal is to measure how often this valve problem happens and identify which patients might be at higher risk.
