Ozone gel tested as alternative to bone graft in dental implants
NCT ID NCT07368114
Summary
This study tested whether ozonated olive oil gel works as well as traditional injectable bone graft material for helping bone heal around dental implants placed immediately after tooth extraction. Sixteen patients needing a single lower premolar tooth replaced received either the ozone gel or the bone graft during their implant procedure. Researchers measured how stable the implants became and how dense the new bone grew around them over six months.
