Ozone gas tested to boost gum disease treatment
NCT ID NCT05971706
Summary
This study tested whether adding ozone gas treatment to standard deep cleaning helps people with gum disease (periodontitis). In 18 participants, researchers compared one side of the mouth that received cleaning plus ozone to the other side that received cleaning alone. They checked if the ozone reduced gum pocket depth, inflammation, and harmful bacteria more effectively.
