NCT ID NCT07361263

First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study explores whether taking a single dose of estradiol (a type of estrogen) can safely trigger the release of oxytocin, a hormone important for social bonding and childbirth. Researchers will compare healthy volunteers and people with AVP deficiency (a condition affecting water balance) to see if this can become a new diagnostic test for oxytocin deficiency. About 28 adults are being recruited.
