Could a 'Love Hormone' spray ease anxiety in rare condition?

NCT ID NCT04789148

Summary

This study is testing whether a nasal spray containing oxytocin, sometimes called the 'love hormone,' can help improve anxiety, depression, and social functioning in adults with a rare hormone condition called vasopressin deficiency. In the first part, 40 participants will receive single doses of either oxytocin or a placebo spray during different visits, and their emotional responses will be measured. An optional second part will test if taking the spray three times a day for two weeks has a lasting benefit.
