Can a simple nasal spray strengthen bones in kids with autism?
NCT ID NCT05754073
Summary
This study is testing whether a hormone nasal spray called oxytocin can improve bone strength in children with autism. About 96 children, aged 6 to 18, will use either the oxytocin spray or a placebo spray twice daily for a year, followed by a period where everyone gets the oxytocin. Researchers will measure changes in bone density and structure to see if the treatment helps.
