Robotic surgery oxygen boost: which breathing method works best?

NCT ID NCT07462689

First seen Mar 11, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study looked at 58 men having robotic prostate surgery to see if special breathing techniques during anesthesia help keep oxygen levels up and the heart stable. Patients were randomly assigned to one of three ventilation methods: standard, added pressure, or added pressure plus a lung-opening maneuver. The goal was to find the safest way to support breathing during surgery.
