Breathing pure oxygen to fight Post-Stroke depression
NCT ID NCT07423273
Summary
This study is testing whether breathing pure oxygen in a special pressurized chamber can help reduce depression in people who have had a stroke. Researchers will compare the treatment to a sham (fake) procedure in 142 participants who still have depression despite standard antidepressant medication. The goal is to see if this oxygen therapy can improve mood, quality of life, and brain function by helping repair damaged brain tissue.
