New oxygen method tested to help burned kids breathe easier
NCT ID NCT06663293
Summary
This study tested whether a newer, high-flow oxygen delivery system works better than a standard nasal tube for children with burns who need sedation for procedures. Researchers compared the two methods in 50 children aged 1-14 to see which one caused fewer breathing problems and helped them recover faster. The goal was to find a safer way to support these young patients' breathing during painful treatments.
