Breathing hope: oxygen chamber trial targets debilitating endometriosis pain
NCT ID NCT06579040
Summary
This study is testing whether Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)—where patients breathe pure oxygen in a pressurized chamber—can help reduce chronic pelvic pain in women with endometriosis. Researchers will compare standard treatments alone to standard treatments plus HBOT in 64 women who are on a waitlist for surgery. The goal is to see if adding this oxygen therapy improves pain levels and quality of life for those struggling with this often painful condition.
