Can a simple facemask oxygen treatment prevent brain damage after a bleed?
NCT ID NCT07343232
First seen Jan 16, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study looks at whether giving oxygen through a facemask can help people who have had a brain bleed from a burst aneurysm and have low carbon dioxide levels. Many of these patients breathe too fast, which may lead to further brain injury. The trial will test if this oxygen treatment is safe and can reduce disability and brain damage.
