Better breathing during surgery? study tests new oxygen device
NCT ID NCT04184089
Summary
This study tested whether a special high-flow nasal oxygen device works better than standard oxygen tubes at keeping patients' oxygen levels stable during a common bile duct procedure (ERCP). Researchers compared three different oxygen flow rates in 60 patients who were sedated but not fully asleep. The main goal was to see which method best prevented dangerous drops in blood oxygen.
