Doctors probe breathing risks after surgery in obese patients

NCT ID NCT07188649

Summary

This study aims to understand how a specific tilted position during keyhole gallbladder surgery affects patients' oxygen levels right after the operation. It will compare results between obese and non-obese patients and check if a common sleep apnea screening score helps predict who might have breathing difficulties. The goal is to gather information to improve patient safety, not to test a new treatment.
