Smart oxygen monitor aims to make nose surgery safer
NCT ID NCT07158073
Summary
This study tested if using a special monitor to guide oxygen levels during nose surgery could prevent patients from getting too much oxygen. Too much oxygen can cause harmful 'oxidative stress' that damages cells. Researchers compared this new monitoring method to the usual approach in 60 healthy adults having nose surgery.
