Extra oxygen could make baby intubations safer

NCT ID NCT06683599

Summary

This study aims to make placing a breathing tube in babies safer. It will test if giving extra oxygen through the nose during the procedure helps doctors succeed on the first try and reduces the risk of the baby's oxygen levels dropping dangerously low. The study will include 240 babies up to one year old who need a breathing tube placed for surgery or other medical care.
