First seen Mar 11, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study looks at whether giving extra oxygen or gentle air pressure to the lung that is not being used during lung surgery can lower the risk of problems after the operation. About 177 adults having lung surgery will be randomly assigned to standard care, extra oxygen alone, or extra oxygen with mild pressure. Researchers will track complications, inflammation, and recovery for 30 days after surgery.
