First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study is testing whether giving babies extra oxygen through the nose during breathing tube placement makes the procedure safer and more successful on the first try. The research involves 240 babies up to 1 year old who need a breathing tube placed for surgery or medical care. Doctors will compare outcomes between babies who receive the extra oxygen and those who don't to see if it reduces risks like low oxygen levels.
