Smart oxygen monitor aims to keep lungs safer during major surgery
NCT ID NCT07375173
Summary
This study is testing if using a special monitor to guide oxygen levels during spine surgery is better than a standard fixed amount at preventing lung collapse after the operation. Researchers will enroll 74 adults having back surgery while lying on their stomach. They will use lung ultrasound scans before and after surgery to see which oxygen method better protects the lungs.
