First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 26, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study tested a new way to deliver steroid medication to the back of the eye for people with diabetic macular edema, a condition that causes vision loss. It compared two doses of a sustained-release steroid (OXU-001) given via a special microcatheter against the standard steroid implant (OZURDEX). Only 3 people took part, and the main goal was to check safety and how well the treatment works.
