First seen Apr 08, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tests whether a 12-week course of oxandrolone, a synthetic hormone similar to testosterone, can help people rebuild muscle and recover better after multiligament knee reconstruction. About 60 adults with severe knee ligament tears will receive either the drug or a placebo. The goal is to see if the drug improves lean body mass and reduces body fat during rehabilitation.
