First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated Apr 26, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study tests whether a new biological mesh (OviTex) works better than the standard synthetic mesh for repairing pelvic organ prolapse during robotic surgery. About 184 adults with pelvic floor disorders will be randomly assigned to receive one of the two meshes. The goal is to see which mesh leads to fewer complications and better symptom relief, such as less constipation and incontinence.
