First seen Feb 15, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study tests whether using Ovitex LPR mesh during robotic surgery for large hiatal hernias helps prevent the hernia from returning. About 100 adults aged 22-85 with large or paraesophageal hernias will take part. Researchers will check for hernia recurrence with X-rays and monitor for any mesh-related problems.
